As a former transactional lawyer specializing in financial technologies, I was always part of the crowd that was just using the law as a tool to solve other people’s problems. A fundamental part of my work is to figure out how companies can run their business (either ethically or not ethically) while still being compliant to the law. Being a legal practitioner for almost 4 years has left me feeling rather bored and unfulfilled with myself. Consequently, I decided to pivot and start my MBA journey at the Sasin School of Management.

One day I came across Amp’s Facebook post (I know, very similar to Fern’s story) talking about TIJ Justice Innovation Unit and how they were working with numerous innovations revolving around the legal industry. This was very intriguing to me because I have been in this industry for quite some time, but never knew of these new developments. We met up for lunch. The discussions created fireworks. And the rest is history 😉
